Bērnu zīmējumu izvietošana / Children’s Art Frame

Pašķirstot bloga ierakstus, secinājums viens – nekas vairāk kā “bēbjkopība” mūsu ģimenē nenotiek. Kaut gan, patiesību sakot, mūsu kopējās mākslošanas reizes ir krietni samazinājušās, tomēr šad un tad mēs kaut ko uztaisām. Tad nu lai šoreiz ieskats mūsu kopējā darbā (manā idejā un Laura un Markusa izpildījumā)- fotorāmis bērnu zīmējumu izvietošanai.

If you are my blogs’ regular reader then probably you are very bored by now of all these baby posts. Sometimes seems that all our life is just “baby land”, but I really hope it’s not true. Of course, our time to do arts together is drastically reduced, but still now and then we manage to find some inspirations and do arts related activities. So this time we made (my idea, Lauris and Markus work) Children’s Art Frame.

Pirms pāris nedēļām man tika piedāvāts liels fotorāmis, kurš bija padaudz lietots un izskatījās šādi:

Some weeks ago I got a used large photo frame which looked like this:

Man nebija idejas, ko ar to darīt, un es vienkārši noliku malā pie citiem nerealizētajiem priekšmetiem un nematerializētajām idejām. Kādu dienu, staigājot pa māju un domājot, ko vajadzētu uzlabot un mainīt, mans skats apstājās pie šī stūra puiku istabā (Dzīvnieku glezniņas):

I had no idea what to do with it. Just put aside to other unrealized items and ideas. One day, while walking through the house and thinking how to improve and change some rooms, my eyes cached this corner in boys’ room (Animal Arts):

Skaisti. Pašu puiku darbs. Pagājušogad veidots, bet kaut kā jau tik apnicīgs. Un tad man radās ideja, ka ir vajadzīga vieta, kur izvietot bērnu  zīmējumus, pirms tie nonāk vai nu katra bērna īpašajā mapē, vai arī mistkastē. Atdotais rāmis kā radīts. Puikas ar prieku uzklausīja ideju un ka tik dabūt krāsot! Vērtējiet paši, kā izdevās!

Beautiful. Boys own  artwork. Just last year made, but somehow I already so bored of it. And then I got an idea that there is a need for a place put children’s drawings before they go in their special file or bin. Boys exited took my idea and jumped on painting (painting!!!) straight away. See yourself how it turned out!

• liels koka foto rāmis;
• balta un zila ūdens emulsijas krāsa;
• otas;
• mazi knaģīši.

Resources:

• large photo frame (reused);
• White and blue silk emulsion;

Bērnu paštaisītas Ziemassvētku dāvanas/ Children DIY Christmas Presesnts

Šogad abiem vecākajiem puikām ir tik brīnišķīgas skolotājas, ka gribējās viņām sagatavot īpašākas Ziemassvētku dāvaniņas, nevis tradicionālās konfekškastes. Tad nu katrs savām skolotājām (galvenā skolotāja + 2 skolotājas palīdzes) pagatavoja apsveikuma kartiņu, svečturīti un čiekuru vainadziņu, kuru var izmantot gan kā sienas dekoru, gan iekārt eglītē. Pavisam vienkārši darbiņi, bet tomēr pašgatavoti, un varu teikt no pieredzes, ka tieši tādi skotājas sirdi silda un iepriecina visvairāk.

This year both boys have such a wonderful teachers and we wanted to make something very special and home-made for them. Therefore the boys made all DIY- Christmas cards, Pine cone wreath decor and Cinnamon Stick candle holder. All these are enough simple to make but I can tell you from experience, for teacher are most valuable and most  pleasant are presents what their pupils made themselves.

Ir palikušas tikai 12 dienas līdz Ziemasvētkiem. Daži no Jums jau noteikti ir izpušķojuši mājvietu, bet daži gatavojas to darī turpmākajās dienās, varbūt nedēļas nogalē. Tāpēc šodien es vēlētos Jums parādīt, kā mēs šogad izdekorējām virtuves logu un kopā ar bērniem aptuveni vienā stundā radījām ziemīgu loga dekoru no ļoti vienkāršiem materiāliem.

It is just 12 days left til Christmas. Some of you are already decorated house, some will do just this weekend. Therefore today I would like to share with you Christmas decoration idea what you can do together with your kids. We needed approximately an hour all together to finish all our window, and the white wintery houses and snowflakes makes us happy every time when we come home or leave the house.

Uz balta A4 papīra (biezāka kā parastā) puikas zīmēja māju siluetus, pievēršot uzmanību dažādu veidu jumtiem un logiem. Kā ierosme lieti noder Interneta resursi, kur paskatīties, ka visi māju jumti nav vienādi un ka logi arī var būt dažādi. Iedomāties celtnes un tās uzzīmēt, arī izgriezt kontūru bija pa spēkam abiem bērniem, es palīdzēju izgriezt logus un Markusa mājai arī kāpnes, jo viņa māja bez tām nevarēja iztikt. Tad mēs piestiprinājām māju siluetus pie loga ar līmlenti un mēģinājām arī trāpīt virteņu lampiņas logos, lai naktī spīdētu.  Vēl tikai iekārām izgrieztas sniegpārsliņas, un ziemīga aina gatava.

Children draw silhouettes of houses on the A4 white card and cut out. I encourage them to draw variety of roofs and windows. We also a little bit looked at internet image resources to copy some shapes. Be honest, they both needed help with cutting out windows, but drawing and planning children could do themselves. Then we stick on the kitchen window and add some fairy lights. To make window more Christmasy we cut out some snowflakes and now we have Winter window decor ready.

Rudens durvju vainags/ Autumn Wreath

Šogad rudens mūsu ikdienā ir ienācis strauji – vienas nakts laikā. Gandrīz visu septembri priecājāmies par + 20 un vairāk grādiem, joprojām ģērbām vasaras drēbes un tad pēc lietainas sestdienas pamodāmies svētdienas rītā, un temperatūra bija nokritusies +15. Oktobris līdzi atnesa rudens vēsumu, miglu un lapu sārtošanos, mēs izņēmām tālu noliktās vējjakas un zābakus. Tikai saule pa dienas vidu vēl atgādina par manu mīļāko gadalaiku – vasaru. Lai nebūtu pavisam skumji, sapratu, ka jāuztaisa kaut kas pavisam vienkāršs (man bija ne vairāk kā 25 min, kamēr Olivers priecīgi spēlējās), bet arī rudenīgi skaists- rudens durvju vainags.

Autumn arrived very fast this year. Almost all September was sunny and warm, +20 degrees and more. We still were in summer clothes when after rainy Saturday walk up in Autumn. Outside was just +15.  October brought us the coolness of autumn, fog and fallen leaves, also need in warmer clothes – jackets and boots. Only the midday sun reminds me about my favorite season – Summer. In order not to completely get sad, I needed to create something simple, enough quick (as I had approx 20 min of Olivers happy playing) and definitely something beautiful and cheerful- Autumn Door Wreath.

 

Dzīvnieku glezniņas / Animal Arts

Vai mākslai ir jābūt ētiskai? Vai rezultāts attaisno līdzekļus? Šādi un citi būtiski jautājumi mani nomocīja labu laiku, kamēr plānoju puikām jaunu mākslošanas aktivitāti, bet ilgi nebiju pārliecināta, ka būs morāli piemērota bērniem, kaut gan iedomātais rezultāts man pašai likās pieņemams un patīkams, lai nesauktu skaists.

Does the art have to be ethical? Or result justifies the process? Such and other important questions were around me for a long time until I set up a new arts activity for boys. For a long time I was not convinced that this activity will be morally suitable for children, although the result of it I enjoyed therefore needed to give a go.

Fāzē, kurā tikai runājām, ka nākamajā mākslošanas projektā izmantosim plastmasas dzīvniekus un pie tam tie ir jāpārzāģē uz pusēm, puikas nebija iepriecināti un pārliecināti, ka tā ir laba ideja. Neteicu, ka laba, jo pati joprojām šaubījos, bet man tik ļoti gribējās pamēģināt, un tā arī darījām. Joprojām domāju, ka ne visām ģimenēm šī bērnu aktivitāte būs morāli piemērota un vajadzīga, bet Lauris un Markus tiešām ar rezultātu ir ļoti apmierināti un iepriecināti, ka ir tapušas dzīvnieku glezniņas un rotā viņu istabas sienu.

During the phase in which we only talked about the new art project, I was clear that we will use plastic animals and will cut them in halves, I mean Dad will cut. The boys were not sure it is good idea. And I didn’t confirm that it is good idea, because I was still doubtful myself, but I wanted  to give a try. Lauris and Markus were very pleased that tried and as well they were happy about result. But be honest, I know that this is not activity for all families and for all kids, therefore jug your situation before offer it to your children. Now we have a new peace of children art in boy’s room.

• lietoti/ nolietoti plastmasas dzīvnieki, figūriņas, mašīnas;
• kanvas;
• akrila krāsas (izmantojām arī parastās krāsas, bet nav tik veiksmīgs pārklājums);
• superlīme.

Man patīk krāsas visapkārt un arī interjerā, īpaši, ja tie ir sezonāli akcenti. Krāsas atmodina, uzlādē un dod spēku. Un kas var būt labāks, ja šos krāsainos akcentus rada un mājās ienes bērni!? Viņiem tas sanāk tik dabiski un skaisti. Iedvesmojoties no parkos ziedošajiem ķiršu kokiem un manis ierosinātas idejas, Lauris un Markus bija aizņemti labu laiku, radot ķiršu ziedu zarus mūsu dzīvojamajai istabai. Šoreiz puikas pat nepamanīja un neprotestēja par rozā papīru, jo laikam jau iemīļotie zari/ koki un darbošanās ar tiem ņēma virsroku.

Colours all around is my passion and especially in the interior. Colours help to change seasonal accents around house that the environment does not get boring. For me colours awaken me, make me happy and full of energy. And what can be better if these colourful accents create and bring home the children!? Also this time Lauris and Markus, inspired by cherry trees in the park and my idea how to create their own cherry tree art, boys were busy for a long time and made a nice decor. Boys even did not notice that using pink tissue paper, I think due chance to work with beloved branches/ twigs.

Dabas materiālu rotājumi/ Natural Decorations

Šad un tad cilvēki ir uztraukušies, ka mūsdienās internets aizstāj cilvēciskās un klātesošās attiecības, bet, man liekas, ka visbiežāk šie cilvēki vai nu nav sastapušies ar situāciju, kad draugi/radi dzīvo citās valstīs, vai arī runā par atkarību no intereta. Man ir tā laime bijusi izveidot dažas sirsnīgas, es gribētu saukt, attiecības internetvidē. Tāda mamma, sieva, trimdiniece trešajā paaudzē ir Liene. Kad sāku sekot viņas blogam Femme au foyer, viņu ģimene vēl dzīvoja Francijā, bet tagad ir atpakaļ ASV. Ģimene, ar kuru mums ir daudz kas kopīgs, ģimene, kura ir daudz latviskāka par daudziem Latvijā dzīvojošajiem, ģimene, kuras gaitām ir prieks sekot līdzi un kuru es esmu varējusi ‘iepazīt’, pateicoties virtuālajai pasaulei.

Šogad Liene uzrunāja mani piedalīties viņas bloga sērijā Another Baltic Christmas, ko ar prieku pieņēmām un devām arī savu mazo pienesumu viņas skaistajai, izglītojošajai un interesantajai sērijai. Every now and then people are worried how the Internet tents to replace human real relationships, but I think most of these people either are not faced with a situation where friends and relatives live abroad, or talk about addiction. During the expat life in England I have had chance to make some good relationships which are not exist in real life, just online, but I still call them relations. One of them is Liene- Mum, wife and Latvian who born in USA. When I started to follow her blog Feme au foyer, her family was living in France, but now already some years they are back in the USA. This is family whom I can relate, family who is very Latvian, even they lived all their lives abroad and the family who I ‘know’ because of online world.

This year Liene approached me to participate in her blog serie Another Baltic Christmas. I was very happy to contribute to her beautiful, educational and interesting series. Our Christmas natural decoration post can be viewed here. And, of course, plus I add a few more behind left photos in this post.

 

Vēstules Ziemassvētku vecītim / Letters to Santa Claus

Par vienu no mūsu ģimenes tradīcijām ir kļuvusi vēstuļu rakstīšana Ziemassvētku vecīti. Šogad jau arī Markus to veica gandrīz patstāvīgi, izgriežot rotaļlietu attēlus no veikalu katalogiem, bet Lauris uzrakstīja pirmo vēstuli rokrakstā. Markus tam veltīja vien kādu pusstundu, bet Laurim ar visu melnrakstu darbošanās aizņēma visu pēcpusdienu un vēl nedaudz no nākamās dienas. Protams, darbs atbildīgs, sasteigt nevar, citādi Ziemassvētku vecītis var pārprast vēlmes. Arī vecākiem šādas vēstules  ļoti noder, jo pirms to uzrakstīšanas patiesībā nemaz nebiju domājusi par šādu puiku izvēli.

One of the Christmas time traditions in our family is writing letters to Santa Claus. This year also Markus was able ‘to write’ a letter almost independently, that means, cut out pictures from a toy shop catalogue and glue them on the paper. Lauris wrote his first letter in handwriting and worked on it all afternoon and bit of next day too. Of course, letter writing is very important work what can’t be rushed. Otherwise, Santa can get confused about chosen toys. Also for parents these letters are very useful. Honestly, this year their choices were different from what I expected.

Zeltītā Latvijas karte/ The Gold Map of Latvia

 

Tuvojas 4.maijs. Diena, kurā 1990.gadā Latvijas PSR Augstākā Padome pieņēma deklarāciju “Par Latvijas Republikas neatkarības atjaunošanu” un Latvija atkal kļuva par brīvu un neatkarīgu valsti.

Mēs ar puikām arī domājam par Latviju- plānojam, ko darīsim, kad ciemosimies Latvijā un satisimies ar mīļajiem cilvēkiem, vakaros lasām Gundegas Sējas grāmatu “Kā ES ar OPI braucu LATVIJU lūkoties” un kādu svētdienas pēcpusdienu kopā ar Lauri uztaisījām zeltītu Latvijas karti foto rāmim puiku guļamistabā.

The 4th of May is approaching. It is a day of Restoration of Independence of the Republic of Latvia. 25 years ago (1990) the Supreme Council of the Latvian SSR adopted the Declaration “On the Restoration of Independence of the Republic of Latvia” and renewed the 1922 Constitution of Latvia. Latvia again became a free and independent country.

At our home we are also thinking about Latvia. We are planning our visits to Latvia, speaking about meeting family and friends, in the evenings we are reading Gundegas Sējas book “Kā es ar OPI braucu Latviju lūkoties” / “How me and Granpa went to see Latvia”. Also one Sunday afternoon together with Lauris we made a sparkly/gold picture – a map of Latvia for boy’s room.
